About the Role:
Are you a creative and skilled web designer with expertise in WordPress? As a “Freelance WordPress Web Designer” at DigiSocium, you will be responsible for designing and developing beautiful, functional and user friendly websites that meet our clients’ needs and objectives. This freelance position allows you to work remotely, manage your own schedule, and get compensated based on the budget of each project. You’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse assignments, from landing pages to full-fledged websites, and contribute to our clients’ online success.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of 2- 3 years in web design, is expected but not mandatory. It can be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
- A strong portfolio showcasing WordPress websites.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Development, Computer Science Business, Arts, Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in WordPress, including theme customization, plugin integration, and responsive design.
- Strong understanding of the web design principles, UX/UI, and web development best practices.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and other relevant web design coding languages.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and others.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote teams.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Availability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work on time.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on industry trends.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the DigiSocium team to design and develop WordPress websites that meet client requirements.
- Work on website layouts, color schemes, and other design elements.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to enhance functionality and design.
- Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
- Implement and maintain SEO best practices to improve website visibility and performance.
- Manage the entire web design process, from concept to deployment.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing websites as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
- Integrate plugins, APIs and third-party tools to extend website functionalities.
- Ensure robust website security protocols are in place and regularly updated.
- Stay updated on the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Design page layouts and templates.
- Produce design assets for use in social media and marketing channels.
- Develop and maintain consistent branding.
- Deliver projects within the agreed timeframe and budget.
- Communicate progress and updates regularly with the project manager.
