About the Role:
Are you passionate about web pages and eager to sharpen your skills in wordpress web designing? Look no further! Our Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for you to work on web development, content management, and website customization using WordPress. As a “WordPress Web design Intern”, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with our team, transforming mere concepts into polished, impactful web designs that aligns with our client’s branding and marketing goals. You’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse assignments, from landing pages to full-fledged websites, and contribute to our clients’ online success.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of WordPress, Shopify, and other content management system.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Development, Computer Science Business, Arts, Design, or a related field.
- Prior experience of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, MySQL and other relevant web design coding languages is a bonus.
- Entry level understanding of the web design principles, UX/UI, and web development best practices.
- Basic understanding of front end and back end interface.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote teams.
- Availability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work on time.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on industry trends.
- A strong team player who brings a positive attitude to every interaction.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to take initiative.
- Must have a functioning laptop, Desktop computer, and a stable Wi-Fi.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly assist the DigiSocium team to design and develop WordPress websites that meet client requirements.
- Work on website layouts, color schemes, and other design elements.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to enhance functionality and design.
- Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines.
- Assist in Implementing and maintaining SEO best practices to improve website visibility and performance.
- Collaborate in managing the entire web design process, from concept to deployment.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing websites as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
- Integrate plugins, APIs and third-party tools to extend website functionalities.
- Ensure robust website security protocols are in place and regularly updated.
- Stay updated on the latest web design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Design page layouts and templates.
- Produce design assets for use in social media and marketing channels.
- Develop and maintain consistent branding.
- Deliver projects within the agreed timeframe and budget.
- Communicate progress and updates regularly with the project manager.
- Any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor as deemed fit.
