About the Role:
Are you a creative video editor with a passion for storytelling through visual content? As a “Freelance Video Editor“, at DigiSocium, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from promotional videos to social media content. This freelance position allows you the flexibility to work remotely and manage your own schedule, while delivering high-quality video content that aligns with our client’s goals. Your compensation will be based on the budget of each project, providing you with the potential to work on a variety of assignments that suit your expertise.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of at least 3 – 4 years, in video editing, is expected but not mandatory. It can be relaxed for exceptional candidates.
- A strong portfolio or sample work showcasing your video editing skills.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in in Arts, Design, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and editing workflows.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and visual composition.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with remote teams.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on industry trends.
- Availability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work on time.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and isn’t afraid to take initiative.
- A strong team player who brings a positive attitude to every interaction.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
- Must have a functioning laptop, Desktop computer, and a stable Wi-Fi.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with the team to create engaging video content for various platforms.
- Edit raw footage into polished videos, including the addition of graphics, music, and sound effects.
- Ensure all video content meets brand standards and aligns with the client’s marketing objectives.
- Manage and organize video files and assets efficiently.
- Provide input on creative direction and participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Deliver projects within the agreed timeframe and budget.
- Communicate progress and updates regularly with the project manager.
- Receive feedback and make necessary revisions to video projects.
- Any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor as deemed fit.
